Hello,

lindabrownbio.jpgMy name is Linda Brown. Would you let me communicate my thoughts to you?

Over the years I have observed students of dance starting and stopping their training for some reason or another. Recently, I decided to analyze the reason for this phenomenon and came to the conclusion that there are basically six reasons for this lack of continuity:

  1. No Interest
  2. Too Expensive
(the current professional dance rates are running from $60.00 and up at 3 major studios in Metropolitan St. Louis)
  3. Not Enough Privacy
  4. Personality of Teacher
(not listening to students' requests, e.g. wanting to learn specific dances)
  5. Shyness
  6. Group lessons are too fast, too slow, or too confusing

I found that the above reasons are the primary obstacles to becoming a proficient dancer. What a better way but to learn from a teacher (one of the best in town) that allows one to learn at their own pace.

I have set out to resolve this by providing discounted LATIN, BALLROOM and SWING (including West Coast Swing) dance lesson rates.

  • The hourly rate for private lesson is $45.00 - that's for single or couple.

As far as the personality of the teacher, I seem to relate well with people and have a generally upbeat personality.

I would like to say something about the interest of dancing. Sometimes people feel shy or self-concious about the ability to dance in front of others and I really do understand this. I would take special interest with your feelings. We will go at the speed you feel comfortable with to overcome anything that does or could come between accomplishing the goal of being a happy social dancer.

I received my formal dance training while affiliated with Arthur Murray Studios in the late 1970's. Since then I have taught with Arthur Murray and TC Dance Club International St. Louis. During the early 1990's I operated as an independent dance teacher at Just Dancing.

I now have my own studio with low overhead. This takes care of the high cost of dance lessons and the privacy factor.

My goal is to help people learn how to dance so they can have FUN!

Sincerely,

P.S. To those that are already intermediate or advanced dancers, if you want to improve on your lead and follow, technique and coaching is also available.
